      Everlast Speed Bag Kit

Comes complete with drum, hanging brackets, swivel, vinyl speed bag, speed bag gloves, hand wraps and jump rope. Not too bad for $50.00. Although not bad for a beginner there are some serious problems with this set. First off the drum is a little thin,i would suggest weighting it with a round piece of wood on top to kill some vibration. Second replace both the speed bag and swivel. The swivel it comes with is plastic and it broke on me in about 3 months time and an all leather speed bag is much more accurate on the rebound.Third the hand wraps are pretty crappy i would definately recommend you get yourself some mexican hand wraps be it everlast, title whatever you choose. and lastly the jump rope it comes with is very small anyone over 5'8 would probably have trouble with it. So in conclusion if your looking for a home speed bag set up the price is nice but there are some real down falls to it, but after making some upgrades to it it's pretty good, i would just try to find the speed bag itself and not the whole set they try to get you to buy and get your own quality gloves, jump rope and hand wraps!

I've heard the swivel is a s-hook which utter ****. Theres better alternatives for the price with better swivels, Title has some.

I just got some ringside boots from ringside.com, on sale for 55.00 +tax. So far, so good.

I've never worn a pair of ringside gloves. I'm breaking my CR's in pretty smoothly though, even though they set me back 140 ;(

Ringside does last, they are well padded, and the feel amazingly comfortable compared to my other gloves. Ringside is top notch, no worries when dealing with them.

I am thinking of buying the Gel Title gloves.

                  http://store.titleboxing.com/title-g...ng-gloves.html

I am getting them at a discount for $55. Anyone know anything about these, I heard they are a very solid glove for the price.

Well I have the Title Gel World Bag Gloves which I got because people always went on about how good it was (also got it on a discount, arrived yesterday). To me it seems durable, soft leather, secure for a hook and loop glove, and the inside took a few tries to get used too in comparison to my ringsides which felt like satin but eventually it felt "good" in its own way. I was honestly expecting to feel some really noticeable gel type thing that would feel cool/cold to the touch but its not really noticeable. You may want to purchase the lace version and get some hook n loop converters. I just thought about it now, you could lace em up when you have time/people to help you and if you don't strap on the hook n loop converter, so it theoretically would be the best of both worlds. I don't know how good the converter is so I can't say.
