Ordered a medium sized speedbag and mount for my garage. I haven't spent alot of time hitting a speed bag. Do you wear gloves when you work the speed bag? Just wraps? How do you know how high to hang it?

I use just the handwraps, even on the smaller Mexican style bags "awsome for true speedbag work by the way" It seems most comfortable when the bottom of the bag is about my chin level. I'd start there and find a good spot for you. It's for hand eye coordination more than anything so having it at a good eye level is probably the rule of thumb.
Work the **** out of that thing the only training aparatus more beneficial is Sparing.
