  • is hiit (high intensity interval training) good for boxing?

    i don't know if it is good for boxing, but it is definately going to be the way i go about losing weight. it's something i've never really tried before. anyone ever done hiit over an extended period of time?

    Mix it with long aerobic cardio. Don't do just 1, mix it up.

      Yes Yes Yes. High intensity interval training is what you should be doing all the time if you box. Its the key to boxing stamina.

          actually, i heard regular cardio training is better for stamina. hiit is far superior in the weight loss department and is better for keeping muscle mass.

                  HIIT is pretty much superior to low intensity cardio in every department, including stamina.

                  The only time cardio has its place is when starting up, to get a base to work off, so you won't get injured going all out from the beginning. Oh, and a little recovery work on days off is good too.

                    Are we talking about low intensity as in light walking without breaking a sweat or 3+ miles jogging?
