  • Anyone want a bout in London?

If anyone wants to be hooked up with an unlicensed/ semi-pro bout in London then tell me and I'll hook you up.

I've got two friends promoting an event and are on the look out for boxers (or people to attend).

Their first event is about five weeks away and is a start off.

It is 3x2, no headgear or vest and pro scoring. You'll know of your opponent quite a while before fight time which is good.

Money is earnt through commission. You get 33% of every ticket you sell, which is £5 of £15.

I think there will also be a 'best fighter award' and maybe some sponsorship for the fighter to wear a t shirt to the ring. To my knowledge these factors are under consideration.

I think that is everything. PM me if you are interested.

I'm already in talks with quite a few ESB'ers to compete and attend.

You have to be at least 18.

It is all above board. Each boxer will be insured, go through a medical pre fight and a doctor will be present.

I am allowed to post on both websites right? There isn't a rivalry or something. I'm just doing this for my mate.

Yes. 100%. All fighters will have insurance, a pre fight medical and will be matched based on weight and experience. A qualified doctor will present for the whole evening. It is all above board and a common thing. Many people run unlicensed/ semi-pro events. Not many know of them. Many amateurs fight to fight when they could box on an event such as this and earn some money. Many pros can't deal with the rigours and give up pro boxing to box on an unlicensed card which is easier.

            Nevertheless, it is legal.

Yep it is me. I don't really go to other forums but I've been on boxingscene before so I came back to make a post for my mate.

NJ - It is a shame you are in America though we have some people travelling. Obviously they won't have the luxury of making money but they just want to fight. Some from Sweden for this bill. The next bill will have some from Holland and America too.
