sparring gloves?

my buddy and i just bought some 16 oz hook and loop training gloves. can these be used to spar with?

i use the everlast 16oz hook and loop, i mean i know they aint the best, and they aint gonna last too long, but they work fine for sparring.

i use 14 oz gloves usually for sparring but i think 16 oz should work fine.

rub vaseline on them and they will last longer.. vaseline softens the leather..

I use 12-14 for sparring and 14-16 for training.
