Put my kickboxing membership on hold today as I want to take boxing for 6 months to get comfortable with my hands before I fully commit to kickboxing/mma.
They warned me that they don’t recommend this as they said boxing develops negative habits that translate poorly to kickboxing. Would the positives of doing boxing for a bit outweigh the negatives or no? Would the habits developed be difficult to unlearn when I come back, or are they trying to get me to stay?
