    The importance of diet

    I cannot stress enough how important diet is when it comes to training. I recently cut out all high fructose corn syrup and lowered my carb intake while increasing my protein intake...the benefits in training have been evident as I feel stronger just from this alone. My favorite is to eat lean steak or lean pork chops about an hour before training or competition. To test this theory next time you train load up on doritos, french fries and some greasy ass burger or kfc before training and notice how sluggish you feel.

    eat 2 hours before competition. trust me. your body needs that time to digest the food completely otherwise if you don't wait at 100min- 2 hours, your heart will be working to digest the food and also working to serve your competition ...ie workin double time, so eat 2 hrs before for maximum benefit, and i recommend ramen noodles. eat that protein after you train, asap if you can, for the window period.

      Ramen Noodles? Haven't tried that yet. Theory wise how do Ramen noodles work for your body during training?

        its just a brand of noodles. they taste madd good.. i used to eat them dry with the seasoning it came with

          yeah we have the same thing here cept their called "Mr Noodles" friggin amazing when i was younger i'd eat em 24/7

            Ramen noodles are high in salt content, so try not to drink the soup or only use half of the seasoning packet.

              Why the hell would you eat soup with all that salt and ****. That is just plain ******. Before a big event like a fight or a tournament always eat Spagheti. Don't eat a large amount but eat till you are pretty full. It is a goood rule of thumb to eat 2.5 hours before teh event and in the 4-8 hours leading up to the event drink nothing but water. Trust me, it works wonders if you prepare yourself well for a sporting ev ent.

                you dont have to eat 2.5hours before hour and a half to 2hours is fine

                  smart guy, whatever u do, don't eat anything with corn syrup in it if u have to make weight, even if u exercise, corn syrop causes the body to hold onto it as fat

                    Of course diet is important. I usually have a good clean diet with moderate carbs and high protein with all clean foods. The past few days I've been eating junk, like sodas, pizzas, etc. and when I went to the gym, I was just slow and so out of it.
