How does a pro boxer transfer weight?

Is it 100 % from foot to foot each time?

Or only when going for the knockout?

Stay 60-40 at all times and punch form there?

    Just enough for leg drive?

Like in beginner class they teach all weight on one foot and then transfer all to the other foot as you rotate and back again, thats what I do, but I get the impression thats not what the pros do.

I get the impression they want more balance and less commitment? They almost become like martial artists like a Karate man with weight transfer?

How exactly do they do it generally speaking?

I often see a distinct lack of weight transfer he got leg drive here with 0 weight transfer, ive never seen this b4

I know he went heavy on his back foot but he was all leaning forward almost all the body weight was forward

Seems like they mainly punch from the hips and thats IT

Leg drive is used but in a more limited way

Seems far more rare to find footage of full weight transfer

Not even the punchers do it. Not even the low crouching punchers do it.

Its so rare I can only name a few examples and I watch alot

seems u dont need it for power much, i know foreman is a bad example for that but here again weight forward already for a rear punch

seems the bulk of the power is from the hips anyway and they dont give 2 ****s so long as its hip powered

I mean his rear foot was in the air

the fighters that did do it dont do it much u probably cant in a real fight get a chance to do it much but its just so damn rare
