  • New Rocky Movie..

Ok, don't let the thread title mislead you, I have a training question. In the trailer for the new Rocky Balboa movie (I'll be seeing it, I'm a Rocky nut), Sly is seen doing alternating uppercuts holding dumbells. I know some fighters train for jabs and such using hand weights, but would this be effective? Seems to me like unless your moving (i.e. - not stationary) you would tend to "brace" and take most of the weight from your arms/shoulders and transfer it to your lats/obliques. Any thoughts?

U dont need it, if u want ur hands to be heavier when u shadowbox put on bigger gloves i tried using dumbbells when i shadowboxed and i found it restricted my movement
