  • Can't Stay Away

**** it. Going back tonight. I was gonna take this whole month off but after a day like today I really need to trade punches with someone. If I could only convince my boss to come take a class with me. . ..

I'm also curious to see if I've been running, skipping, and shadowboxing enough to stay in shape.

Criminy, I'm a boxing junkie. Man, I MISS it.

I couldn't go last week because I was seek and I'm telling you, it was the longest week ever. I went back this week and I couldn't even do 1 round if jump rope without messing up and my performance on the speed bag was hilarious. I haven't gone back to sparring yet, no one my weight came.

I threw up about 30 minutes into the cardio. Felt way better afterwards. Sparred a little, just jabs and straights, a few rounds against a middleweight half my age. I was out of breath and had to really force myself to weave, but I was throwing hard enough to make him hesitate so that was something.

Got another ****ing shiner. Same eye. I drop my right when I weave and come up into a hook; I chamber the punch and I get clocked.

I need to run harder if I'm gonna survive the next 3-4 weeks and not lose everything.

Yeah, the first few days/weeks are hardest when getting back into it. I used to love the speed bag but I hate it now. But I know I'll fall in love again by next week

Lol, exactly. And I feel so ****** and embarrassed with the whirling and the clank noses.

I hit my sparring partner with a Dempsey-style shovel hook, elbow on my hip (leading hand) and turning into it, right on the midline on his left side. Folded him in half and from his swearing I guess it went right to the kidney even though it was a legal hit. We had to stop for a few seconds until he could stand up straight, again.

I am so keeping that in the arsenal. Weave, step, shovel. Combo with a left uppercut and I'm a bad, bad, man.

well i think the reason why its so hard for you two to start up is because in that one void you dont do anything

why dont you try running... or jogging, or walking to stay in shape

                    that wont kill you

you guys make it seem that one day from the gym is gonna make you horrible

i took a week off and came back fresh and to my surprise i was just as good as i was when i took the week off....
