i have to say dieting and eating well is damn hard. I don't really have much time to cook, nor really know how to. What kinda foods are good that are easy to prepare and fast. I want foods rich in protein and calories, since I don't have to really stay in a certain weight class. Also I've started a ****load more cardio so i do need extra calories now. What do you guys eat?

Let me just share with you a bit of wisdom I learned when I was "into bodybuilding." You don't have to know how to cook AT ALL, even if you want to eat the foods your describing, and what B0XER suggested. Here's the secret - get a George Foreman Grill. I kid you not. Go to the store and buy some skinless chicken breasts, too. Salt, pepper, and some Mrs. Dash seasonings, preheat the grill for 3 minutes, pop the chicken on for 6, and you've got the main coarse. Uncle Ben's rice is good, too. They started making microwavable pouches of brown rice that are really excellent and pretty cheap. Half of a rice pouch and 1 8oz. chicken breast on your Foreman is pure muscle building fuel. Plus the advantage to the grill is that you can cook up 6 or 8 at a time and ziploc those bad-boys for later in the week.

I'll tell you a really cost effective way to get your protein that tastes GREAT.
goto walmart. get the cheapest **** they have, i think it's like 10-15 bucks for a big tub.make sure u get vanilla. get some diet root beer, any kind, i use shurfine elcheapo brand. mix the powder with rootbeer and you will have no clumping issues, the carbonation dissolves the protein like a champ. stir well, add a little milk, then restir, and then add ice cubes...i guarantee it's on par with the flavor of other brands, maybe not as good as muscle milk, but its also less caloric than muscle milk, so.

I feel you. My parents actually use a Foreman Grill but those 10-20 minutes to marinate and cook the chicken are too long.
This is what you should do for your carbs and protein:
Hard Boiled Eggs (Do about 12-24 at a time)
Tuna Fish (40 grams of protein in each can)
Oatmeal (1 cup is about 60 grams of carbs)
Whey (Get some nice tasting ones and some even taste like choclate milk)
Chicken (Some are cooked in bags. All you have to do is heat them, 5 minutes in microwave but a bit pricey)
Peanut Butter (Most calorie dense food)
I might start making chicken again once school starts. Better than the crap they sell in cafe.

ahhh i think i'm allergic to something in protein shakes. Whenever i drink them, and i've tried many different brands including muscle milk, theres reactions on my tongue and throat making it hard to swallow and bumps on my tongue..... so i don't think protein shakes are the way to go. i'm gonna give the other things a try. Anyone else? If i eat the same stuff everyday i'll get sick of it.
