In one of the Solo Training books by Loren Christensen, he describes a poster which inspires him from when he was a police officer. It's aimed at prison guards and shows some huge, mean looking biker type lifting weights in the prison gym and has the saying, "Missed a workout? He hasn't."
While I don't work as a prison guard, I do think about that poster when I'm feeling lazy and it has the effect of pushing me a little harder in my workouts.

Just finished working out with the Hopkins-Tarver fight in the background and made me push a little harder. That performance by Hopkins definitely inspires me.

Always remind yourself why you're doing it. If it was enough to get you started, it's enough to keep you goin'. If not, then maybe boxing's just not really for you. Personally sometimes I really have a hard time draggin' my ass to the gym. But treat it like when you get knocked down, you just force yourself to get up, and keep on goin'. Just remember why it is you do what you do, remind yourself of that constantly. Especially if you're trainin' for a fight, good luck man, don't beat yourself up before you even get in the ring.

              Peace

You can say I suffer from a bit moody/manic episodes from time to time and now is one of them.

Trying to train for a fight in a few weeks and the god damn blues have got me right now. Don't know where it comes from but when it shows up, it shows up hardcore. Im waging a raging battle within myself so when I fight another person its like a double team. I'm trying to spark back up my brain and heart but other circumstances inside are making it very difficult.

Hope this **** shakes off soon or I aint gonna have the desire.

"stop thinking about where you've already been or else things tend to repeat themselves, instead think of where you'd like to see yourself. Think of this everyday and things will change"

You shouldn't need any motivation or inspiration. You should always be inspired to be the best - and that includes everything in your life. Success amounts to what you put into it.
