I have experience with the Everlast training gloves and they are alright in my opinion, kinda clumsy and wear down kinda fast. I was wondering if it was worth it to spend the $$$ for Reyes or Grant Training Gloves?

What are you gonna use them for? At the gym for sparring, we use Cleto Reyes which are pricey but on the heavy bag and mits, we use Title gloves.

I use Grant Pro Gloves for everything.. had Everlast before.. trust me.. Grant is really great.. way better then Everlast. I never tried Reyes but I think they're very good, too (but not the pro fight gloves because I think they're to hard for training/sparring). Winning gloves are great also, accoring to a lot of boxers. I thought about getting a pair of them.

are you guys talking about the cheap everlast stuff? (their $30 training gloves)
everlast pro training gloves ($80) are a different story.

Ive used the pro Everlast Training gloves and the label and inner liner wore out in about 3-4 months. They protected my hands well but felt like pillows and didnt have good fist closure imo. I like the Everlast Pro Fight Gloves for mitts and bag work but my question was is the upgrade to Grant or Reyes worth the $$$ and how is the performance.
Ballagoal thanks for the review on the grant equiptment

I have the cheap ones for hitting the heavybag before I ever got serious about boxing, back when I thought I was cool hitting the bag with ****ty technique and form. Those are really bad. Never tried the pro gloves by Everlast though.

I dont know why ppl like Reyes for sparring unless they enjoy inflicting pain on their teammates. Theyre hard and dont protect the hand well either.
Having said that I use Pro-mex exact reyes ripoffs for sparring. I feel like they suck because their uncomfortable, its hard to make a fist, and there is a giant air pocket between my fist and the gloves padding, but my trainer liked em so whatever.

I'm a beginner so I'm not that picky about gloves or anything but whenever I wear Reys for sparring, it fits eprfectly into my hand. Plus it's really tight and secure, I love them.
