Use that jab mate...every time he tries to step in and brawl...use a double jab and keep him at distance. If you have a longer reach than hi asweel...use this even more...dont resort to tactics that are gonna work for him ie fighting him on the inside...it will help him...so my advice is to keep him at distance and box a classy fight

yeah. You should know the guys weakness and strengths and have an idea what you want to do. Your lack of a gameplan and confidence in what to do.... shows a a lack of prep and inexperience. If the trainer doesn't do it for you you should do it yourself so you can practicing it before the fight.

I don't mean to diss you but getting advice based on telling us what the guy does and what you do won't help a bit. Reading is one thing but see it is a whole other deal. Not single person here knows how you throw a single punch, style you fight with, and what will be effective for you.

My advice is simple. Develop your own gameplan and be confident it will work for you. Practice it shadow boxing and picture it in your head.

      Other advice.
Don't be nervous, be confident and know you will win.
Relax during the fight. Don't panic and execute like a soldier.
I would give you ring advice but seems reckless doing so.

Good luck and knock him out

YEAH I KNOW or completely inexperienced and water is over their head used to pad other fighters records! Even a fighter with decent amateur experience knows this stuff.

If it was a pro fighter, trainer should've put gameplan and practiced the gameplan with a few rounds of sparring from my experience.
