Feeling ill 2 days before a fight

I'm fighting on Saturday in the championships but yesterday started coming down with a cold. So far it's just a runny rose and cough. The baby has a chest infection so I hope I dont catch it. Any advice on how to overcome or at least feel better for the fight. I dont want to pull out as it's the championships.

Boil hot water. Put lime juice in it and drink it. Drink that at least once or twice a day until the fight. On fight day, get a shot glass, pour some apple cider vinegar and a little water. Drink it down and let the vinegar melt the mucous out of your chest. You should be able to perform much better. Do not drink any soda because that will leave a coating on your lungs and cause mucous. Just water, orange juice, and what I have listed. If you are allergic to any of those, do not use them at all and try to sweat the sickness out instead. Good luck.

Get some herbal hot tea in you.rub some Vick's on that chess and pray for healing.alot of people depend to much on medicine and don't let there body heal naturally.get plenty of rest and establish a relationship with the lord.

I would drink plenty of water, rest as much as possible, and 1) use zinc gluconate lozenges and 2) OTC cold medicines/analgesics that are not banned by your federation (if there is drug testing at this event). So--during the day I might take a non-sedating antihistamine such as Zyrtec, the cough supressant DXM, Tylenol or generic equivalent, and--if needed-- the nasal decongestant phenylephrine (check if not banned; pseudoephedrine is). In the US the last three are found in DayQuil and it's generic equivalents, so you could take Zyrtec and DayQuil or their generic versions...

At night, NyQuil or it's generic equivalents can be very helpful (do not combine it with Zyrtec as it contains a sedating antihistamine).

Good news I have another day to hopefully get better. My opponent has withdrawn so I'm in the semi finals Sunday

Lost the fight on points. There weren't much in the fight so not a bad result really for a first bout, he's had 5. When I moved forward he kept backing against the ropes but I never finished the attacks guess thats down to experience.
