After the fight it was slightly hard to stand because my head felt so heavy. (But I thought nothing of it since I was generally tired and thought that in other case it was my neck acting up, since it got rly messed up after being knocked down a year ago.

I remember next day I could barely move my neck but that happens to me all the time because we dont spar with headguards and I just havent got used to the extra weight.

I dont think my head hurt the days after the fight (only the evening after the fight), however, later that week I got sick and had a bad cough, but now it has calmed down. But now my head has been hurting for like 5/6 days now and I’m getting concerned. It especially hurts when I tilt my head down or something like that and I’m getting really concerned.

Should I seek a doctor ASAP or is this not an emergency/ will go away?

Its compolsury for boxers to go through MRI after a tough fight. You have to do that...

While sparring make sure you and your partner are wearing thicker gloves and a headgear. You're applying techniques and that's it, no need for anything else

So let me see if I have this correct. Whatever national association your boxing is governed by will demand head gears in a bout but will not require head gears if you are only sparring? Is this correct? ……….Rockin'

In the US, USAboxing checks all the fighters for concussions afterward. My assumption is any nurse or Dr. should be able to spot something more than a minor concussion and at the very least recommend further evaluation.

With that said, cant stress enough the importance of health insurance for fighters. Just being an average Joe, its nice to be able to go see a Dr. That has my best interest.
