  • Lower backache post run .

Hello guys any advice would be welcome ,I run between 25-30 mile a week , but past 15 months I been suffering with some lower pain /ache ,its always after a long run ,probably has gotten worse last 3 months as I've been running on a machine rather than the road, Im a heavyweight at 17st so the machine has worked wonders for less impact on my joints etc but seems to make my backache worse to a degree .
Its gone by next day so its not like I'm injured !? ...just post run for 12 hours have this lower poxy backache

Try the machine on a slight incline. Maybe change running shoes. Have you ever tried inverting yourself? Do a headstand against a wall and relax your core. Feels great.

Maybe try a low impact cardio like swimming for a bit or go see a chiropractor.

I agree with the changing running shoes. When I went from regular tennis shoes to running shoes (I prefer Adidas but a lot of people recommend Ascis), made a hell of a difference. I also have over pronation, so my next shoes are going to be for that, to help stabilize my ankles.

Be certain to stretch your hamstrings, and back, before and after running...…….Rockin'

I would do a gym bike first, IMO
