    Sparring partners a lot heavier

I'm around 59 kg but everyone else is minimum 70 kg and the average I spar is 75+ kg. I'm around 5'10".

It's tough but I keep going. I am skilled but these bigger guys can intimidate me. I'm powerful for my weight class.

    Thoughts?

Jesus dude that's crazy small for your height. You're literally the same height and weight as my girlfriend and she's skinny af (she actually weighs 5lbs more than you lmao).

Bulk up or accept your fate. Assuming you're the same height, quick in and out footwork and volume punching on the inside is your only hope. Even then it's going to be rough.

Because I'm 6'3", I was always stuck against the 250lb guys in boxing and jiu jitsu, even though I was 185 and they had 65lbs+ on me.
My advice is, as long as you're not getting injured, use that adversity to become a real badass. When you are able to hang with a guy much bigger than you, you roll through guys your own size.

I'm only 19 and looking to bulk up after my next fight until I step in the ring again so I can compete at middleweight potentially. Also 5 ft 10 isn't even that tall in my gym and right now I'm 61 kg but when I cut I'm less. Average height is 6 ft.

Also Ryan Garcia is a couple of years older and he's literally around the same weight and 5 ft 10

I agree with this, sparring with bigger guys will make the guys your own weight seem like much less of a force, because they are less of a force. But the bigger dudes should not be trying to take you out either. Sparring is for training and although injuries happen, many times can be avoided. Irritates me to see a 180lbs guy trying to unleash full power shots on a 150lbs guy

Well you're both kids so that makes sense. I was 6'4" 170lbs at your age so I feel you.

If you're happy at that height/weight do what the other poster said and just weather the storm to become a badass. "The strongest steel is forged in the fires of hell" and all that.

Work your movement, counters, and high guard. They shouldn't just be teeing off on you, but they also shouldn't be able to if you are defensive.

When you eventually fight people you're own size it will be much easier.

1st off, use your speed. 2nd, use your eyes to see what he is leaving open to defend your speed. 3rd, use your feet. Meaning don't throw your stuff and then just stand there in front of him waiting to be punched. Take the side and work him. 4th, use your strategic mind to see what you can set up with what. Then, do it!

I always took work against bigger guys. That is the fun of learning the skill, being able to defend yourself no matter the guys size. ……….Rockin'
