Recommendations for gloves that have BARLEY any padding?

I was watching a video on how former legends used gloves that were small and had barley any padding, they did this to increase accuracy among a few other things.

I don't know if this is true or not, but I'm willing to test it - I need recommendations of gloves that have barley any padding.

That was back then. Modern day fighters don't really do that. In fact they use much bigger gloves in the gym than in the ring.

However wouldn't my accuracy be better by using small gloves on certain bags?

The well-being of your hands is a big consideration. If you're talking about working the heavy bag with tiny gloves that may not be the best move.

Get some gloves with the padding removed and filled with barley. They sell them down at the barley boxing club in Manhattan.

They're called bag gloves, and i wouldn't recommend punching the heavy bag with it. You'll hurt your knuckles/hands. Just get 8oz gloves. They're good for hitting pad thought.

Be careful. If you plan on working with your hands (e.g. typing, drawing, playing an instrument ... etc), in the long run you might have issues. Try it out with 8-10oz gloves but regularly check your hands for damage. Best of luck.

That's next to the beer place, right?

Yeah that's old school mentality. Back when they would drink beer during training and walk hours and hours instead of running a few miles.

Use a reflex ball, dbl end bag, speed bag, and train with precision training sticks to increase accuracy, rather than **** your hands or knuckles up using incorrect gloves.

On a serious note, the Sting Viper Sparring glove, wasn't super padded, and the padding is a bit hard and condensed. It has a real nice sleek feel, very aerodynamic and light even at 16oz's they feel more like 10s or 12s. I like to wear them when I'm working on speed and to spar from time, but they don't offer my hands or my opponents enough protection to use them on the regularly.

Looks like T. Fury removed some of his padding here
(Or did these old school Title pro lace ups come with this black thing on them?)
