50 - 100 lbs bags are a good choice. Lonsdale or everlast. Bag gloves are pretty cheap depending on what you get, Lonsdale, everlast, reyes whatever.

50-100 pound bag. Everlast prefferably, but there are cheaper off brands that will do the job.

The gloves, go with Everlast or Reyes. The Everlast gloves will scab up your hands more at first than the Reyes gloves though. I use Reyes gloves myself, but that is just a personal prefference. My bag is a cheap Franklin model I bought at WalMart.
