    Stance

In a basic stance, how many inches would you say between the lead leg and rear leg?

Humans come in all different sizes. It's not a matter of inches but rather proportions. Equally important is the relationship between the head/shoulders and the feet. If you're wondering where you're feet should be, refer to your shoulders for reference. They're going to be slightly wider.
