Not that I'm aware of. As long as you're hands are properly wrapped and gloved and you punch with proper technique then you should be fine.

i tend to punch at the bottom for my bodyshots on a 100lb bag. that tends to hurt cause all the sand is at the bottom,but i still manage to put dents in the bag.

yeah i hit the bottom only of my 100 pound bag cause the way its setup it makes things fall on the floor above if u hit it high. Its solid as hell on the bottom but never solid enough to be dent proof

That's why you don't hit the heavy bag hard every day, and you use a bag that's not TOO hard. It has to have some give.....
