  • Considering moving up a weight class

Are these reasons enough to move up FROM 64KG(141LBS) TO 69KG(152LBS)

And to just make it clear I'm 6'0 (184cm) and when I'm eating healthy and actually till I'm full I can reach 70-72kgs. And I'm turning 17 this year.

    - My weight cut is affecting my training for the fight. I feel drained, and sometimes I can't run in warmup because my legs havent recovered and arent strong enough (I run Mon-Fri (30 min) and intervals on wednesdays)

    - I realize I get sick very easily when I'm cutting weight, I can see a pattern.

    - I'm weak

    - Others have said that being 6'0 and fighting 64kgs (141lbs) is gonna be weird, and unrealistic.

But I can make the weight, afterall, and even then I have some fat to burn. It's just very hard. I thought of putting muscle to like 73kg or so and cutting the fat, 3kg or so and last kg I dehydrate before fight.

What do you think I should go with? Remember I'm 6'0.

Lordy... You're already fighting at a very low weight for your height, which I think we can credit to you being young. Add the fact that cuts are affecting you and I think you absolutely should go up a class. You don't want to be suffering side effects from cutting at your age. Right now, developing a healthy body is far more important than a small competitive advantage.

I agree with Red Foxx. Listen to what your body is telling you. If you are training hard, eating right and sleeping well but still feel tired at your current weight, something is wrong. At your height I would consider going up to Super Welterweight (69kgs) or even Middleweight (72kgs) and see which feels more comfortable. Move up to 69kg first and see how you feel. Best of luck!

              I fought a guy 6'-3" at 154. Crazy fight!!

Pin point your jab while walking a circle around your opponent. No matter what happens, do not stop your motion. You can redirect it, but don't stop your motion. Stick that jab and work it. Up and down...… Walk that ring... Control that ring! Circles...…....Rockin'
