You need to find a coach that you click with. Someone could be coach of the year but if the way he teaches doesn't register with you, then you're not going to get as much benefit as a coach who makes sense to you.

I know nothing about finding a good boxing coach outside of my own area, but I did use google maps to list some. If you have no other alternative maybe you can start there and go to observe. Meanwhile start writing down what your goals are and what level of commitment you are willing to give.
