I watched gpro boxers big hitters such as tyson, canelo and ggg. Why don't they turn into punches or "put out the cigarette? Mike tysons lead foot on hooks also doesnt turn, it just looks like the heel lifts but the hamstring and shoulders do the rotating and he generates crazy power from it.
Why are beginner boxers taught to exaggerate hip movement and lift the feet when punching?

Every fighter is different and generates their power from different ways.

I always learned to exaggerate the technique during training so that when you're in a fight/sparring and things are moving way faster, your technique will be "normal."

Unless you fight someone who is really slow with his hands.

with turning your feet you lose a lot more energy and after years and years of training it really doesnt matter if you turn it or not your punch still be strong af. Canelo is a good example of someone who doesnt turn his feet when throwing hooks. But everyone should train by turning their feet and when time passes by you will stop doing it and you will start generating power from that little movement in your feet and big movement in your hips.
