    Alkaline water???

I read an article about how various NBA players are getting into drinking alkaline water (water with a higher, more basic pH). Some of them swear by it as being superior to "normal" water.

Has anybody drank much alkaline water and noticed any positive effects?

i've been on it for about a month now! my whole family is on it. i have yet to notice anything different but then again, im pretty slim and dont have any known health issue so its hard to judge if the water is making any difference.

my mother on the other hand, has high blood pressure and after drinking alkaline water, it lowered her blood pressure. kinda sucks because the place where we get the water from is about 35-40min away and its always packed with other people there.

      Oh cool about your mom!

Are you able to buy it by the gallon? The grocery store I usually go to seems to only have 1.5 liter bottles.

yes, the place where we go too, you can buy it by the gallon. but we usually just bring our own bottles and fill it up there instead. there's a self serve station there which is what he usually use. or you can go inside the store to purchase the water, cost about $15 for a 5 gallon bottle.

I'm a huge fan of Evian. Its kinda expensive honestly, and whether its psychosomatic or not it makes me feel good. I like crave Evian water.

Theres an alkaline water place about 15 minutes away but they seem to not be open for normal hours.

I second that. Pricey, but much better than some of the others.

Apparently the NBA players drink Fiji, which I haven't had much experience with.

Normally I'll bring an empty liter bottle to training and fill it up in the bottle section of the water fountain thing.

Today I brought an unopened bottle of Evian, and I swear I felt less dehydrated and more hydrated when drinking it compared to the fountain water.

That looks amazing! Hopefully it's not too pricey!
