10oz punchers glove for padwork/bagwork

Hey guys My 2nd post on this forum
just looking for opinions i'm trying to find a good glove that has maybe a smaller knuckle area i currently spar/train/bagwork with a pair of 16oz twins special gloves and i find them rather big in knuckle area and I would like a smaller fist area for accuracy training and mittwork.

and a bit more handspeed as if im going to get into actual boxing need to practice with 10oz on my hands also if that's what you fight with.

pro gloves really aren't for bagwork, they'll break down super quickly. try some smaller bag gloves. they're super durable.


you can use smaller sparring glvoes for pad and abg work, but again, they'll just break down. if you don't mind buying a new pair every now and again, have at it, but they call them "bag gloves" for a reason, they are made to hit bags for months, some even several years, every single day. just dry them out before you put them away.

Thanks man, I was looking for somthing lighter out of anything, any recomendations of bag gloves though?

Pac hits the mitts and bag with 10 oz Winning gloves.
That is if you don't mind the price .
Twins makes very durable fight gloves b/c they are pure foam and no hair .
But, the hitting area isn't very square .

Most bag gloves are going to fall in the 12 oz area.
I suggest going with a 12 oz sparring gloves .
Reyes makes them sleek and very durable .
Just make sure you are really wrapped and have no hand problems.
They hit hard.

Cheers guys sadly would be a costly drive as I'm in Scotland
Will have a look at them I like the twins just feel a burst of air when I hit the bag and it's not very stable punching surface and I feel my hooks are slaps when I used the 10oz ones I have they are cheap horrible ones hooks feel better but those gloves are wrist breakers.

My #1 recommendation would be the 10oz Winning pro fight gloves (MS300).
Those are very comfortable and protective, and lasts a very long time for a pro fight glove.

#2 recommendation would be the training version of ^; 10oz Winning velcro training gloves (MS300B). Keep in mind that there is no lace-up model in the 8oz/10oz sizes; those are only pro fight gloves.

#3 recommendation: Rival Ultra RB1 bag gloves, size M for 10oz.

#4 recommendation: Rival Evolution RB11 bag gloves, size M for 10oz.

Always use 180 inch mexican style stretchy handwraps at the minimum.

If you need additional knuckle protection; check out the Winning NG2 gel knuckle guards or the new Skulltec gel pads, or Silipos gel squares.

Your accuracy shouldn't change if you're consistently aiming with the knuckle on your ring finger.

Those are actually solid prices, better than what I bought them for.
