They have sand bags in the middle.

I had one and I had to take out the filling .

For the casual person, I think a 100 lbs water bag by Century or MaxxMMa are good enough.
Wrap your hands right and wear proper protection you should be okay to hit whatever.

              No, thanks .
I tried the sand bag weight add-on like Ringside suggests.
Did not like it at all.

Just got my PBE bag up to 80 lbs.
Stuffed more polyester rags in there.
              It's just about perfect.
              It's a 14" by 42" bag.

What the hell is a sand bag weight add on? Or at least what is the purpose...

Why would you want to hit something full of rags? That's way too soft to toughen up the hands for a fight.

                  Works for the pros.

                  Hydraulic press presses them hard.

Works for the pros? I've seen pros do some pretty moronic ****. A punching bag is a punching bag, it's either crap or good. I've also seen fighters use everything from title and everlast to Grant. Hell, Canelo uses everlast so that makes it correct right?

Bag work doesn't make you a boxer and if you need a soft bag because a regular bag hurts your hands then you aren't cut out for the sport.

                      Everlast has several models .
The run of the mill bags you see at Big 5 and other stores are crap.
The sand bags they add eventually go off center and some spots of the bag become really hard.

Sorry man, you can't make me agree on these really hard bags as great tool for boxers. Those are reserved for Kung Fu and Karate fools.
Boxers take care of their hands . It's their livelihood .
You think boxers should toughen their hands ?
They shouldn't pad their wraps so much then hit rag filled punching bags ?https://********/-dzOQvmI2Eg?t=115

There's a reason why punching bags have gotten MUCH LARGER.https://********/vRygZnrVPQg?t=113
To add weight, they made the bags LARGER.
100 lbs bags are mostly 14-15" by 5 feet now.
You want it heavier, try 16" to 18" in diameter.
                      They are all linen filled.
And they are not super soft like you think.
You need a pair of good gloves and good wraps to work on them.

I have no idea what a " regular bag" is.
If that's the crap bags made by Everlast filled with shredded cloth and sand bags, there's a reason so many are being dumped on craiglist.

BTW, Grant does not make punching bags. He gets them made by Pro Equipment. He just has them label them for him.
