No headgear is dangerous, could get a cut from a light punch or a head clash, etc.

Most definitely. One of the only times I sparred without headgear my opponent's glove somehow sc****d the white part of my eye and my eye was all red for almost a week. The forehead padding of headgear would have prevented that for sure.

Yeah, I saw guys spar once with head gear and ended up having a nasty head clash where both suffered cuts.
