    Truth^. Some guys have meaty hands that make somewhat flat fists. I have long fingers and my fist looks like a mountain range across the knuckles. Obviously, the tendons wrapping around the joints are going to take the brunt of the punishment.

    Also, if you start boxing late in life, your body is less likely to adapt to this kind of treatment. Take care of your hands because you have to live with them for the rest of your life.

      If its an old bag that has been impacted so many times that the stuffing compacted together to make it rock hard when you strike it I could see it ****ing up your hand. I say find another bag to work on or even better find a water bag to work on. I know, hitting that solid bag makes high impact noises and makes you sound great but it ****s up your hand. Do you also have this problem when sparring?...
