    It all depends what kind of weightclass and what kind of shape you're in and how athletic you are.

    For example, if you are some ultra-athletic 6'6''+ tall heavyweight freak then 23 is extremely young and you can make plenty of money.

      Have some amateur fights and enjoy competing.

      Going pro is a whole different ballgame. It's a very tough way to earn money. Most pros don't make ****. It's years of blood sweat and tears before the very best guys make it into a position to make a few hundred K or even a few million per fight. It's like 0.1% of fighters who make this kind of money

      If you're insanely talented and prepared to work hard as hell, then yeah maybe you could go pro at 27 after 25-30 am fights at least. But chances are you are not insanely talented, and are best off enjoying the sport as an am boxer. Nothing wrong with that at all.
