    Trouble staying motivated..

So lately I have not been going and have not been as constitent as I wanted to be with boxing class. The classes are Monday to Friday 6-7:30. The reason for me is I was sparring and getting hit so much by guys with 8 fights and feel like I will never be able to dodge punches from him and stuff also my body is not changing I wanted to be able to be ripped and look like a boxer I still have not cut the fat off. I push myself hard during training but I feel like nothing is showing for it. was anyone in ever a similar position ?

Maybe you a training wrong with the wrong attitude

Training to get ripped like a boxer? Why don't you train to fight like a boxer?

Diet and genetics also play a great part in having that Adonis look. Prime example, Tyson fury and Tony Bellew, the guys can move and the guys can fight, do they look ripped? Do they carry love handles?

Get back in the gym, learn to move, learn to slip, improve your ring craft, improve your reflexes, it will come, persevere

No wonder you ain't training anymore.

Would you want to study if you get contiueously bad grades even tho you studied?
Would you want to keep playing basketball if your team gets constantly paired up with national champions?

Pick different opponents or tell them to give you a chance.
You don't learn **** if you get ass whooped all day nor do you have fun doing so.

And if you want to get ripped track your calories, cut down animal products as they are calorie dense and cut down your overall calories.

You can't eat like a whale and expect to lose weight, even if you train ( exaggerated).

This is gonna sound messed up but I used to take padding off my sparring gloves to get respect and motivate myself. I couldn't dodge punches and it frustrated me so I was gonna make sure they felt my power. I still got hit but I saw how I was hurting them and how they reacted and that made me want to keep training because I had new power. Find something that makes it FUN for you to spar and itll motivate you to keep going.

Sparring for me I smiled and stuff when I get hit, for me I'm just naturally calm when sparring so I think that helps me. Do you have any advice for what to do when someone is throwing multiple punches and I'm new so I can't slip them all so can I just pivot away or shuffle back and cover up and maybe jab outblike I did in kickboxing or should I try to parry and stuff ?

Seriously sonny are you a born idiot or do you work at it daily?
If you ever did that in my gym you would wake up on the side walk outside (maybe) and never be able to go into any gym in the city.
There are ways to cheat in every sport but altering gloves is one of the worst things to do. If thats how you motivate yourself you must be the biggest azzhole in whatever area you live in.

nem8685--do NOT listen to anything GGG says he is a complete
                    idiot!

If you have a trainer who is not looking out for your health then find another one! Tough spar sessions have nothing to do with taking advantage of someone. When that happens it's because the trainer lacks heart & brains. Ask your trainer for 5 minutes of his time and explain how you feel and why you feel like you do.

Their are morons all over this site who have never been in a ring let alone altered gloves, be careful who you listen to.
