    Jumping in Boxing

    Hey guys,

    I m just curious:

I don t want to talk about this fight. Only about rules. In my boxing club they teached me, that jumping or lifting both feets from the ground is illegal. So it is illegal whatever he is doing there?

    Thanks

As far as I know it's illegal but an unenforced rule. Abit like stepping on feet and clinching. I you mean hopping like Roy Jones that's fine.

Never heard of a rule that denied it but then again the thought of getting punched anywhere especially on the chin/jaw while both feet are off the ground isn't a very bright move!
If your looking to emulate a boxer I wouldn't start by copying
Connor McGregor. You start with fundamentals then add in your personal tastes. As long as they work!!!!! hahaha...

Ive seen fighters actually do this, but not very often. A huge mistake if done against the wrong fighter, especially with fast hands.
