    Boxing headgear for sparring

Friend needs some headgear. hes 22.5''. The cheaper the better but something that will actually protect him not give him some weak layer. As long as it doesn't obscure his vision its fine.

Adidas AIBA Boxing headguard (approx $60) or Title Boxing Gel Full Headguard (approx $90) wont break the bank and both pretty decent

If my coach or whoever is supervising the sparring allows me to i prefer to spar with no headgear. Blows feel the same and the periphereal vision is much improved... you risk a cut or head buts but eh...

I totally agree but the extra padding would definitely make him feel safer and let me try harder if he gets better.

I'm an amat. and i wouldn't want to box without headgear. The goal is to learn while preserving yourself. I fought countless non-headgear sparring sessions and guys in the gym are fighters too, makes my the inside/side of my ear hurt for a couple days when hit. Also gives me a headache when i fight bombers .

Of course it's best to go with headgear, just go to a store and try them on lol don't order online. It's the same as buying a shirt online and not knowing the fit.

          Take care mates!

I think headgear by rdx sports is a best option because of its quality and cheaper rates ...
