  • Nutrition and training advice needed

Hey guys so I was wondering what types of training you guys do in order to boost power, spped and agility. I struggle to get many punches in and they are fairly slow. Also how do you guys eat to maintain a lean physique? (10%bf). Do you track macros and where would you place your calories in terms of a cutting/maintenance/bulking macros?

Also what type of plyometric workouts would be good for boxing?

Power - Heavy bag work focusing on power. Strengthen the forearms, shoulders, and back muscles particularly.
Speed - You have to think fast. Use resistance cords, weights, and shadowbox with 16 oz gloves. Speed honestly increases naturally the more you train. I haven't really seen any exercises that will show a dramatic increase in hand speed. Just focus on speed more that's really the best thing.
Agility - Well when shadowboxing focus on footwork and head movement. Agility ladder helps. A lot of football drills are good.

With boxing you will want to eat a lot of carbohydrates and protein. Roadwork and sprints will give you a lean look provided you have enough muscle. A 6 ft guy like me wouldn't have abs at 130 lbs and 10% bodyfat.

This is what I do https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...d.php?t=749751

Make sure to keep the reps between 4-10 so your muscles dont get sore in your situation.

        Nice post,
How often do you think i should do roadwork and how much? Keep in mind im just reurning from a shin splint and don't wan't to over train. I was thinking of doing just 2 days a week just now while maybe going to 3 days in a month or so when i have boosted my fitness levels.

If you cutting weight for a fight you HAVE to track your macros.

Otherwise, eat a whole foods plant based diet.
No need to worry gaining unnecessary fat on a whole foods plant based diet.
