  • Amateur Boxing

Hello. I am a 15 year old aspiring box R so o is in regular sparring, training and drills and competes in white collar. I am really wanting to move up to amateur, and I have done for a long time. I was just wondering this ****** but probably simple question, is there any requirements to become amateur? Such as competed in this many fights or trained for this long? Or can I just began attending amateur classes at a dedicated boxing gym! Thank you!

You should probably ask the coach what he thinks. There is no rules for becoming an amateur boxer, except you will have to get permission from the doctor, in which he will give you a series of physical tests (coordination, heart beats per minute, eye sight, reflexes etc., nothing special).
