I believe a lot of what limits us is in our heads. However, it doesn't mean it's easy to overcome it.

Specifically, I have weak legs -- it has always been the case and while boxing helps me and I've seen huge improvement since I began, they are still weak. When we do certain drills and workouts to strengthen legs, I often feel I can't continue anymore and must take a break. My muscles are sore. However, back in my head I know I COULD continue if my head didn't limit me. Any suggestions, ideas?

(I know that working on strengthening the legs physically is important and I do that, of course...)

Take the excuses away. We use money as a financial incentive at out gym (as everyone hates to lose money) first one to whinge or stop doing the drill hands the other guys 10 bucks each. You may still be first to drop out, but I guarantee you will do a few more reps than before when cash is on the line

You must learn to work through the pain. Furthermore, you must simply ignore pain.
      Simple as that.......

It's all in your mind and what you allow it to do to you, as in your fight.

Working legs sucks man. But do you mean working legs as in lifting weights or aerobic leg exercises?

Well either way man Id probably suggest that you get a weighted vest and/or some good ankle weights. Depending on what you do outside the gym. You can wear a weight vest or ankle weights around with you during your daily activities. The added weight of course will strengthen your legs + when you take it off, you will fill light as a feather. This alone is mentally gratifying. It also adds confidence mentally knowing you can carry more weight.

If you need muscular endurance in your legs then do interval training for them. Run as fast as you can for two minutes then lightly jog for one minute and repeat. Then you don't need to even worry about it. There's enough going on in a fight to worry about your legs fatiguing.

If you need muscular endurance then do leg exercises or start running or swimming.
