  • What is your pre-fight prep????

    Hi guys,

    got my first bout Saturday next week and wondering what your pre fight rituals are?

    how do you calm your nerves?
    pre fight diet?


    also how long before your contest do you ease training off and have a full rest day?

    Full rest 24 hours before, you should be on wind down a good few days before.

    You will not get any fitter with 3 days to go but you can get tired. If your fight is a Saturday I would train on the Tuesday, light CV work on Wednesday or Thursday, complete rest Friday. And do good stretches everyday of that week for 20 mins

        For me personally, 2 days before the fight go for a light 3 mile run then relax day before the fight. On fight morning I don't eat anything heavy, just a banana or an apple. Once I get to the venue, have my weigh in and then stuff my face with flapjacks and 45 minutes before my fight I drink honey (instant energy). 20/30 minutes before my fight I do some light mitt work and warm up to loosen up. Then I go kick ass and win Oh yeah before the first bell I jump around orthodox then as soon as the bell goes I switch to my proper stance which is southpaw #mindgames101
