Hey guys. I'm just wondering. I have rib pain on my left side(jab side), but it's not very bad unless I throw my right hand or push down on my rib. When I throw my right cross, I get a sharp pain in my left rib. I did spar like a week ago, but oddly only started having pain yesterday. Could it be a rib Bruice? Any advice what to do? Should I go to the gym still?

Go to the doctor. Asking for medical advice online is going to be about as reliable rain in the dessert. But to tempt fate, depending on how long you've had it, just rest and let it heal. If its just occurred its likely something minor and will heal in under a week. If its a persistent injury, still visit a doctor.

It would be unlikely to get rib pain a week after sparring. What often happens is that minor, supporting muscles can be strained and only hurt during certain movements which utilize them. I'd give it a few days rest. If it gets worse while resting, something may be wrong and you could need help. I get awkward pains like that occasionally though, usually if I do some exercise with sloppy form or move furniture, and they typically go away after a couple days.
