  • The ONLY suppliments worth buying

I constantly see supplement questions here for boxers and lifters alike. So I felt like this thread may help some people.

They are all a waste of money, jars filled with cancerous chemicals and pure garbage, made with cheap ingredients. Almost ALL of these products when tested don't even have have the ingredients they list on the label.

The ONLY Pre workout I'd ever recommend or spend money on is this.

    https://gnosisnutrition.com/collecti...ity-preworkout

It's a Pre workout designed by Omar Isuf.

Its only 25 bucks for 30 servings, per serving is cheaper than a cup of coffee. Most Pre workout servings will end up costing 2-3 bucks. If you look at the ingredient list you'll notice only 4 compounds (creatine, creatine, beta alanine, Citrulline malate).

These are the compounds that are proven to work, and main compounds experienced lifters look for when they buy Pre workouts. Omar is cutting out all the bs and won't be spending mass amounts of money marketing the product, which keeps the price low. I'm pretty excited about this product to hit the market tbh.

The only other supplement I'd recommend is ZMA which was produced by Victor Conte but now everyone makes their own version. It's also an extremely basic supplement, (zinc, magnesium, b6)

Basically zma helps you get a ridiculous good sleep but increasing your bodys ability to get a very deep sleep during your REM period. which increase your recovery ability, which will help naturally increase your testosterone.

A lot of you guys won't need it so it won't help you, but for You guys who don't get a true deep sleep, or train extremely hard, or have a deficiency in zinc magnesium (2 of the minerals Americans are most likely to be deficient in), a quality zma product might really do a lot for you.

Everything else on the market is trash. Supplements can't replace quality food and quality sleep. Those are the best 2 supplements, and really the only suppliments worth spending money on.

Good post and I agree with the bolded 100%...I have said this many times.

I've been taking zinc, magnesium, b6+b12 which will probably cost a lost less than ZMA and I'm sure what I take is much higher in concentration.

I'm not big on anything with creatine because it's not good for the kidneys which degenerate as you age anyways...and any damage is not reversible. It just might become the straw that breaks you back in your advanced years.

Tumeric is not a bodybuilding supplement...but I thought it's worth a mention because when Taken with a dash of pepper it has remarkable affects on so many things. And it's $2 for 400 grams at my grocery store. It's anti- inflammatory effect is very easy notice...as well it detox's you which can be seen within 20 mins after taking it by the clarity of your urine.

Here's one link but here are many better ones...it's worth researching.

yeah turmeric is phenomenal stuff, I've never picked it up but I try to eat curry as often as possible for that reason. I think I'll buy some now though.

As for the zinc/magnesium. The deep sleep I got when I started taking that was completely mind blowing. I never slept like that well in my life, never had dreams so vivid.

You might want to be careful of taking zinc and magnesium in high concentration though, metals are NOT good for you in high doses.

I haven't even taken zma in probably 5-6 months and I love it, because I don't want to become completely reliant on it, and because I don't want the metals to build up.

I take 50 mg's of Zinc and 1000 mg of Magnesium split twice a day...once before bed. For sleep I also take 500 mg of Taurine and 3 mg's of melatonin...sleep is a bit difficult for me but this works. I also take MSM...which breaks down scar tissue and makes muscle damage easier to repair. I give MSM/Tumeric with a dash of pepper and Zinc/fish oil and Vitamin E to my dog because I feed her home raw food so no added vitamins or supplements like some commercial dog food. She had a bad leg from swimming hard and long all summer and after 6 weeks of MSM and turmeric the muscle softened up enough to release the spasm with a few mins of acupressure which I also do on myself when needed. But without the MSM and turmeric it just wouldn't release.

Turmeric is anti-cancer...lowers blood-pressure...anti-inflammatory...detoxifying...and so much more. It's good for your liver and kidneys. Really good things have been happening to me since I started in the early Fall.

What about a simple whey protein shake post workout?

what about creatine? Dirt cheap and proven to work. A lot of people are deficient in vitamin D too.

Creatine is one if the ingredients in the pre workout I mentioned.

I personally don't care for creatine, but if it's in a pre workout anyway I suppose thats mostly not a bad thing.

I think that stuff is complete garbage, the most you need is 20 grams a serving. Because it's in liquid form maybe you get half of that in your system? And because that stuff is made of such low quality ingredients and because the company's basically fill those jars with filler the same way coke dealers do. maybe you get 4-5 grams out of the 20 you are expecting.

Eat a hard boiled egg and some almonds and that's worth more than your entire protein shake.

You really probably don't need protein shakes or massive amounts of protein anyway. I believed it once too, it's bs, to get you to buy crappy products and eat more food.

Unless your a straight up juiced up body building monster, eating lots of protein probably isn't going to do crap for you, except overwork you digestive system and make you fat.

And acidify your body which in itself causes inflammation because acids burn.

I've been preaching this on here for years but it's pointless because the general public has been so successfully brainwashed by the health food industry that it's a lost cause. I used to be like that and then one day I met a massive bodybuilder who more or less set me straight on this and I went from spending about a hundred dollars a month on whey powder for several years to nothing and not only continued to put on muscle...I felt much better and improved my health.

But very few people will believe this because they see an ad with a massive steroid freak telling you to use as much as 4 grams per lb of body-weight if you want to put on muscle...and over the years the industry keeps telling people to take more and more of it and they do. So they go to gyms and everyone is telling someone that's what they do so they do the same.
