Everyone should take biology in high school because 99% of the questions on here about nutrition and supplementation wouldn't need to be asked.
What class did you take? BCAA repairs ripped tissue . Its about recovery not getting bigger. Did you even enter a gym yet ? Its VITAL in intense training.....Still given advice you know nothing of....oh gee BRANCHED CHAIN amino acids ARE "BCAA "..LOOK THEM UP ..I HAVE A FEELING YOU DONT THINK THEY ARE IMPORTANT ( a buck forty no muscle whatsoever )..Come on now you wonder why I say shyte like this....lol

After much research, I discovered that BCAAs are far less effective than advertisers would have you believe. The theory is that you don't have to break down the protein. But there's speculation that, not only do they not assimilate as effectively, but that free form aminos may even be damaging. Early studies used equal levels of whey and BCAA but whey contains only around 50% BCAA. In a study I saw that actually used equal amounts of amino acids (by doubling the whey volume) the BCAAs were ineffective while the whey bought about protein synthesis.

Consumers are becoming savvy to Whey supps that naturally contain high levels of BCAAs vs those which are spiked with free-form aminos. When I was bodybuilding I found that the leading competitors always went for whole foods and only added a little whey for supplementation, and rarely BCAAs (even though they advertise them). You won't see a lot of info about this because most fitness sites and publications are supported by advertisers that make mad money selling tubs of BCAAs for ridiculous prices.

you cant possibly get enough BCAA's with food alone with intense training...Protein shakes cut half recovery time at least modern ones...But either and or they are essential to reparing muscle tissue...ive been working out since 1986 and can tell you this. when you drink protein shake those aminos are more easily absorbed and goes right into the muscle tissue faster. BCAA's are needed for repair food or drink. BCAA's will advance recovery if its consumed within or soon after a work out.

Back in the day I used to CUT horse pills I half and swallow them before and after the LEE HANEY shakes which no one on this site would drink.

You seem to be associating bcaas with protein shakes. I take shakes daily and have for years. Free-form aminos are something else. They can be added to protein powders, but the best powders derive their aminos from the source (whey, in this case).

Lmao at how popular the BCAA scam is.

They are nothing more than an amino acid, and most likely an extremely poorly produced one at that, and furthermore you'll be lucky to get half the BCAAs the package tells you you'll get, and you'll be even luckier if your body can even absorb the garbage.

You get BCAAs in your foods. Eat right, sleep well, that's all the supplements you need.

Unless your Dr or nutritionist specifically tells you, your deficient in something you don't need supplements and they won't do much if anything for you. The only people they will help is high level bodybuilders and powerlifters.

So unless your one of those don't waste your money.

Are you this ****ing ******ed? Muscular recovery and growth are intertwined. And I guess you are punchy too because I specifically said biology. Which you obviously didn't take because if you did you would know that Amino Acids are the BUILDING BLOCKS of protein. If you still dont know what that means then you are and even bigger moron then I thought.

WHAT??? Protein is what rebuilds tissue which are made of Amino acids? you idiot...you are a buck 40 and have NEVER had to actually rebuild tissue to even know what to do??lmao Biology ???WHAT ..please start actually training so you can experiance what OTHER athletes do..lol

"They just help build muscle. That is it. "

No IDIOT AGAIN it helps stop tissue breakdown and catobolic breakdown of muscle which would heal FASTER..the end result is faster recovery time.... "THEY JUST" no ....its not they just ...they help performance bc you heal faster MORON!

Amino acids are amino acids...they are what form protein...liquid gets absorded faster than food...(Not arguing which is better) but the quicker BCAA's go into the blood stream the faster the muscle heals....BCAA are aminos period...food or liquid. i definatly notice less muscle soreness with Protein shakes for that reason....whey /Casein/milk etc...are catered to ones need...me personally i always liked Casein.

In short shakes have an abundance of BCAA's and will help the muscle repair process, theres no way it wouldnt.
