  • Independent fighters finding fights?

So ive done some research on this topic and can't find any real answers. So my question is, how do amateurs with no fights find boxing fights while not fighting out of a gym? On usaboxing.com you can register as an independent fighter. But without a current coach, how do you go about finding fights? And before everyone here tells me to get a trainer, I have been training boxing and MMA on an off since I was 17. I'm 23 now and have trained at multiple gyms over the past 6 years so I'm not some guy in his basement hitting his heavy thinking he's tough. I'm just curious what the process would be. Thanks.

Get ur USA Boxing license ( super easy ) . Then u gotta figure out which LBC is in ur area n check the fight calendar . Should be about 6-8 gyms having Shows . About not having a trainer ... Not sure if u can but get ur USA Boxing trainers license simultaneously with ur boxers license . Might work . This is ALL for Amateur Boxing . Hope this helped .

Check the calendar as stated. Not guaranteeing this will work, but get a hold of the point of contact and tell them you're looking for a fight and do not have a coach. They could maybe get someone to work your corner. No guarantees as they would be going out of their way for you.

I would just get in contact with the most active local amateur gym and go there snd talk to the staff.

You really don't want to just be setting up random fights because you don't know who you will be fighting but the local boxing guys should know who's who.

Its not that you want an easy opponent, but you don't want a guy who will demolish you either
