    4th Fight

Had another Guns N Hoses fight. Dropped a decision but I feel like this is the best work that I've done. Appreciate the feedback/advice.

I'm assuming that you are out of the blue.

I watched you slip his jab to your right a few times, which was good in that you made it miss and you're not in way of his right hand, but then you try to counter with right hands which miss each time because the over all move travels too long and is not 'fluid'. Try just bringing a hook with you when you slip that jab, bring it over top though at the same time. Then drive in your right hand.

You fought a good fight though man, very entertaining. No shame in a loss that you fought hard for.

            Buen trabajo!

            Good fight bro!

Considering fast paced fights like that never make your technique look good, you did well.

You guys were both happy to be mid-long range. The range changed so quickly that it was hard for both of you to adjust to fighting short range when it was time.
For example, i like what your opponent was doing with his right hand gaurding at long range.. having it in front of left side of chin. Great for catching their jab etc but at short range if you leave it there, you'll be eating a solid left hook before you know it.
Your punches needed to shorten up a bit when in short, they were looping over and/or behind his head and then getting tangled up etc. Once again, hard when range is changing so quickly from both fighters.

Also, what was your game plan other than win. What i mean is, if he is getting the better of the exchanges maybe it's time to try something else. For example, maybe try get in closer and rough him up on the inside with some superior inside fighting skills and combinations, or try fighting long range and pick him off with your faster reflexes/punches. Whatever advantage you have - use it... Just trying to get u to fight your game, and do what you want to as nothing changed much for 3 rounds.

If that's the game you like, then work on some fast twitch reflexes/drills in the gym to get them counters/slips happening rapidly. Also work on some upper body defensive movements and counters.

Can't be too harsh on you with that effort in 4th fight though.
            Keep up the good work!

I'm assuming this is the last round seeing as both of you were swinging for the fences. The guy in the blue seemed a bit more technical (idk which one you are by the way). The dude in the red had barely any head movement and was chasing the whole time. The blue guy should've slipped his left hook at 13 secs in the video, spun right, come up with a straight right over the top then push him into the ropest. That just my 2 cents, I'm just now getting back into the sweet science after almost 6 years of being out so my advice should be taken lightly. Good heart by both guys, awesome slugfest, I'd go with blue for the win .

You're absolutely right about the gameplan. The truth is that I planned on boxing and establishing the jab round 1, punching more in round 2 and brawling as actively as possible to outwork him in round three. I didn't anticipate him coming forward as much as he did and it totally reversed my plan. I threw over 60 punches in round one, dropped to 50 in round 2, and then tapered off at around 40 in round 3. He had superior conditioning and I think it showed in that third round to get him the win.

That is the game I like. I like to be involved in exciting fights and I felt more proud to be in a fun one like this and lose than I did to win my last fight when the kid's nose was broken and it only went one round. I know I need work on the counters as I self-train and do not really have the coaching to properly teach me the sweet science. I hope to change that soon.

Thanks for the advice. I was blue. I don't know why I didn't tie up with him more. He spammed so many punches and walked me down so early and often that it had me frazzled to the point where I just said f*** it, brawl.
