How good is a Thai Boxer in Boxing?

Thai Boxing Legend Buakaw Banchamek often uploads training videos on his facebook. In this one he does pure Boxing.

My question is how would you rate his boxing in this video?

    เช้าๆซ้อมหมัด.

By the way, you have to take into account that Thais have a very hard training plan. Which basically means they are already exhausted when they do technique drills (Mitts etc), they run 1 hour directly before the boxing session and do that all during 30-35°C or 86-95° Fahrenheit. So quite different from your normal boxing routine.
Lastly, you also have to consider the different style he has from Thai Boxing.

They train very hard over there. And with knees, elbows, and kicks thrown into the mix they are the best in the world.

But in general the pure boxing skills of Thai boxers are inferior.

Which is why on some forums you hear so much about Dutch style muay Thai. Supposedly in Holland they integrate Western boxing into that type of fighting more than they do in Thailand.

they have a slightly different way of doing things its hard to compare because its made to fit in with the rest of their tools, it would never be used on its own so how can you compare it?

That being said its not too far different and drastically influenced by western boxing.

The boxing of western kickboxers isnt too sharp and they are better than the thais at punching so its 2 levels below pro boxing

That guy shows you that his right is coming for your nose before he ever throws it. A proper fighter would slip that right hand to which side Alex? And counter with what?

There are plenty of ex muay thai fighters that traslated well to boxing.
Saensak Muangsurin, Veeraphol Sahaprom, Samart Payakaroon and Khaosai Galaxy for example.

Every Thai champion boxer started in muay.
Saenchai kor singstar is very tidy with his hands but the guys just a phenomenon.
Hitman Harrison took on the cambodian champ on live TV in boxing rules..Harrison is muay thai. They dressed him up like a Christmas elf with the shorts he had to wear but he demolished the cambodian on live telly
