Where can I get away for a month and purely train boxing? I know there is a program in Thailand for a month, where you stay, train and eat. Anyone know of anymore?

Depends on how much money you have and what you are doing it for.
You could rent a hotel room for a month but that would be insanely expensive.
Camp in the woods or at a campground. That would dangerous though because of wild animals and people up to no good.
I'm sure there are affordable places that you can rent only a month.
Sounds like Thailand is your best bet.

Boxing doesn't have anything like the Thailand camps. A good trainer could probably make a mint if they set something like that up.

As far as "camps" go, I'm not aware of any. Most coaches don't really formulate camps unless it's a big fight for one of their fighters. The reason Thai boxers travel to Thailand is the purity of it's origins, and the novelty of learning it there. One of the issues lies with boxing camps being more of a thing in developed countries, meaning less money will be made off them, meaning the demographic isn't the same. You won't see too many people coming to the US or other countries to LEARN boxing. More so to amplify their game or work with better talent.
If you can afford it, Vegas is great.
I go for 2 months every year, granted I know a great deal of people out that way, so I'm not exactly lost or without guidance... There's plenty of gyms and talent out there, though. If you can look into any coaches out there, you could try to link up with them via Facebook.
Vegas is to boxing what Hollywood is to aspiring actors. A lot of people make their "vision quest" there. It's not uncommon to be in the gym with a handful of TV fighters. Plus there's no many gyms to hit. Barry's, Johnny Tocos, Richard Steeles, Mayweathers, Roy Jones' spot in Henderson...
I'm close with Mike Jones, he's been trying to get me to go out to Tokyo. He goes there pretty often to help out their guys (like Ryota Murata) . That's my next stop, hopefully.
To sum it up, you probably won't be allowed in a camp unless you're an accomplished fighter and can bring value to the fighters camp. Otherwise just go to a good boxing area and pay a trainer for a months worth of 1 on 1 sessions.Last edited by BG_Knocc_Out; 07-11-2016, 10:40 AM.
