  • Boxing accessory equipment.. The real deal, and the bull.

Sup fellas, I'm looking to optimize my boxing skills as much as possible. Currently I use different weight medicine balls, and kettle bells/weights.

If anyone uses the following items please let me know about your experience. If it's a crock of sht or the real deal,

    - altitude masks (bane looking sht, also used in creed)
    - weighted vests
    - resistance bands (will deff be buying but still let me know what's up)
    - ankle weights
    - oxygen in a can (lol)
Hmm feels like I'm missing a few of the "fad" stuff so feel free to add and what you think/experience/worth it or nah

    Appreciate it guys

Resistance bands are every day items. Unless you're fighting 10 rounds or more, forget the oxygen masks, cans, etc.
I've got a set of ankle weights that I almost never use but if you find an application where you need them, go for it. Same with the vest. Doesn't hurt to have a lot of gear at your disposal, as kind as you've covered the basics first.

The things you need most are adequate gloves, heavy bag, and good shoes (not running shoes). After that, double end bag, bands, light weights in the form of medicine ball or kettle bell or dumbbell, additional gloves, speed bag, etc.

Thanks for the reply. I have everything you mentioned. I am very dedicated and am all about progression. Right now I'm planning a trip to high altitude to see what difference it makes in my performance. I want to be the best not another face. So if you know of anything that can help me better myself, let me know brother. Appreciate it

The only things you need are the basics. I recommend adding some of the exotic stuff when you get bored and need to keep it interesting. The fitness industry has no end of gimmicks. The fundamentals tend to be the most efficient.

Resistance bands are great for warm up and also training your punching power.

Ankle weights are also great for overall footwork when sparring or skipping

Vests are not necessarry but if you can throw 70$ or more out of the window then get it. But before you run with a vest increase your run the normal way.

Get a double end bag, slipbag( you can make that one yourself) and a heavybag.
