I think it was in Rocky 1 or 2 and Raging Bull where they went off sex when they were training. Does it really impact perfomance or is this a myth?

According to a test FSN Sport Science did with Chris Bryd I remember seeing...it has no effect (sex before fighting). But IMO...after sex you feel passive as opposed to primal when you're sex starved. Think of how many bar fights are related to primal jostling for sex.
