    Anyone into cycling?

I live near a bike path that goes many miles in each direction. I typically use the path for running but I must say the scenery gets pretty boring since you can only run so far. I'm getting kinda jealous of all these cyclists passing me up in their little lycra suits lol. I'm thinking about buying a decent road bike taking up cycling. Is it an easy sport to get in to? Do you think cycling gives a better workout than running? More calories burned?

I'm looking at a nice bike from Diamondback it's got Shimano 105 (2x10) components and looks badass.

I've been cycling for years, I prefer the Harley Davidson Cycle.
Presently a 2014 FLHR (road king) is my newest and I still have my 1985
FXR-C thats number 450 of 1,075 ever made. Been riding Harley's since 1964!

My back does get sore from "cycling" so I use a backrest most times......

    Ray.

Yeah I know what you mean lol. Finding a bike shouldn't be a problem though, they say as a rule of thumb at least go with Shimano 105 components and a carbon fork. You're looking at at least $780 new. Not sure about used. You don't need to go beyond that component range unless you plan on going pro. No need for a 100% carbon bike that costs 2k+ and will need to be replaced after any impact. But you'd still need cleats, clipless pedals, helmet, gloves, bottles, holders, saddle, saddle bag, pump, tubes and all that good stuff. It gets expensive as hell.

But yeah all those lycra cycling suits aren't really my style lol. Just gonna rock a water resistant T and some cycling shorts with basketball shorts over them.

I don't know, perhaps? Do people get bike rage? Like road rage but on the bike trails?
