The best fighter at my gym uses winning gloves for everything. Pads, heavy bag work, and sparring. He doesn't take them off. He uses one of the lower weighted ones too. I think he uses either 10 or 12 oz. It's of the non-velcro variety as well. He also has the whole set, head gear and foul protector too.

Maybe using the same gloves for bag work and sparring is a really bad idea given how the padding compresses over time but I haven't noticed any degradation in my gloves since I brought them..

So if you are on a budget and can only afford one pair of gloves, I would definitely recommend a pair of Winning gloves of different size from RDXSports UK.

Winning gloves are true work horses and definitely live up to the hype.
