  • Fundamentals of physical training for boxing

    What are they?
    Is it more about endurance training than strength training? Is it common to use weights and machines as well as doing calisthenics? What exercises should I be doing? What muscle groups should I be working on?

    I'm in the gym for usually about 1 hour, sometimes longer, and on average I go about 3-4 times a week. What exercises do you recommend during that time? At the moment I do pushups with the bars, and various types of crunches. I sometimes grab a pair of 1kg dumbbells and do these exercises on this youtube video: watch?v=ZBUBRaM6QhY
    ...but can only manage it once

    I also occasionally use the pull-up bar but can only do about 3 full lifts.
